Snow, Snow!

March 24, 2013 and the first week in April 2013 brought snow to Bedford.  We enjoyed relaxing inside while the birds were grateful for the food we provided.

Saving the Bees!

We had a huge tree on the property with a large slit down the middle filled with bees and honey.  Unfortunately, a storm knocked it down in April of 2011.  Bill contacted a local bee-keeper who was very happy to save the bees for us.  He was unable to locate the Queen, so he ordered one from California!

We discovered a wonderful stream that we hope to utilize in our landscaping.

Purchasing our retirement property.

Bill and I were searching for a nice, quiet small town to build our retirement home.  We found 8 acres in Bedford county and began our journey towards a peaceful existence in the mountains.

We spent the next several years re-modeling our Willoughby beach home of 31 years and finally sold it in the fall of 2012 - Bedford, here we come!
